Description
At the heart of Segovia, Spain, is the famous Roman aqueduct, iconic landmark that was probably completed in the early 2nd century. It is one of the most significant and best preserved ancient Roman architectural monuments remaining in Spain. Located in its proximity, as seen in this image, is Mesón Casa Cándido, a well-known typical restaurant founded in 1905, favored by locals and tourists. Casa Candido is famous for its roasted suckling pigs (cochinillo asado), Castilian and traditional Spanish cuisine, and other delicacies. The area is crowded and lively with popular activity. The aqueduct is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site - No. 311.
