Artist's Description

Viewed from the road, the structure in Jermyn, Jack County, looks like any other near-dilapidated barn with a dried-out old tree in the foreground -- but it is also part of Western and Texas history! Here, the (Texas) State Historical Marker Committee in 1968 erected a marker (not part of this image) on the site of the Loving Ranch that reads: "SITE OF LOVING RANCH HOUSE. BUILT 1872 BY J.C.
