Description
Charming fountain in the grounds of the Madrid residence of Spanish impressionist Joaquin Sorolla, now a museum. Sorolla painted typical scenes of Spanish life and people. On commission by the National Hispanic Society of New York, he did an important collection of images of people in traditional settings wearing costumes of various regions of Spain. A selection of those paintings was part of an exhibit on loan to the Prado Museum in Madrid.
