Description
Detail of one of several frescoes. This one, depicting the Nativity, is located right behind the alter, in the tent-shaped Chapel of the Angels, designed by Italian architect Antonio Barluzzi. The chapel adjoins the remains of a 4th-century church and a later agricultural monastery. The paintings in the chapel depict the angels announcement to the shepherds, the shepherds paying homage to Jesus and the shepherds celebrating the birth of the Messiah. This digital image is protected by US and international copyright laws, not to be copied, altered, manipulated, or used in any way or form without prior written permission from the artist/photographer, Nieves Nitta.
