Description
Partial interior view of St. Joan D'Arc Chapel, historical church dismantled stone-by-stone and shipped from France first to Long Island and later reconstructed at Marquette University. The stained glass behind the alter, executed in the style and colors of those at The Sainte Chapelle in Paris, initially installed in the original Gothic sanctuary window on Long Island, is the work of Charles J. Connick of Boston one of America's most distinguished stained glass artists. The church is surrounded by flower gardens, period pottery and charming walkways that add serene ambiance to the university grounds. This image is protected by US and international copyright laws, not to be copied, altered, or used in any manner without prior written consent from the artist, Nieves Nitta. Thanks for visiting!
