Left panel of a stained glass window in the Minor Basilica of Saint Josephat in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Depicting scripture - Luke 18:16-17: "But Jesus called the children to him and said, 'Let the children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs. I tell you solemnly anyone who does not welcome the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it."
The Church of St. Josephat located in historically Polish southside, Lincoln Village, Milwaukee, Wisconsin is a ministry of the Conventual Franciscans, a beautiful center of prayer, spirituality, inspiration an inspiration. Its cornerstone was placed on July 1897 and was constructed using, in part, salvage material form demolished Chicago Federal buildings. The Parish founded was founded in 1888. It was declared a minor basilica by Pope Pios XI in 1929. In 1973 this beautiful church was registered a Milwaukee Landmark on the National Register of Historic Places. A must-see, impressive site to enjoy when visiting Milwaukee.
