Description
Behind the shrine of Chimayo in New Mexico, visited by so many pilgrims, I came across this weathered wooden cross resting on the rock wall near a window sill. Indoors, behind the window is the small room that contains the Posito, the little sand well that measuring 18 inches wide by 9 inches never seems to be depleted. There are three crosses on this image, all humble reminders of what they represent.
